Online education will continue in Saudi Arabia even after COVID-19 pandemic ends, as it is important to the Kingdom's education system, Minister of Education Hamad Al-Sheikh said in a statement.
During a meeting with Al-Sheikh, Hussam bin Abdul-Wahab, head of Education & Training Evaluation Commission (ETEC), said that online education will be a successful project in the future.
He indicated that Saudi Arabia will continue to invest in online education during or after COVID-19, as it is considered a qualitative leap for digitalizing the education in the Kingdom.
He added that ETEC is currently cooperating with the Ministry of Education to improve the quality, which reflects the joint efforts and integration between the two bodies.
This came during a meeting held on Dec. 5 between Al-Sheikh and the board chairman of ETEC, Dr. Ahmed Al-Issa, to discuss the coordination between the two authorities in order to achieve the Kingdom's strategic goals in accordance with Vision 2030.
