B20 focused on small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), due to their great contribution to the economic development, accounting for more than 60% of the business volume around the world, Al Eqtisadiah newspaper reported, citing the group's chairman Yousef Al-Benyan.
He called for providing financial support for SMEs and allowing them to access a specialized technical infrastructure.
Al-Benyan also highlighted the importance of intra-state trade to support the global GDP and help countries boost the value of intra-trade.
He noted that cooperation became necessary, particularly during the COVID-19 pandemic that impacted the business community and social life, as several countries closed their borders, affecting the flow of services and products around the world.
