Saudi energy minister expropriates 29 land plots in favor of SEC

Energy Minister Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman gave the green light for expropriating 29 land plots in various regions in favor of Saudi Electricity Co. (SEC), as per the regulations on expropriation of real estate for the public benefit. 

 

Accordingly, SEC will inform the respective property ownersof the estimated compensation. The land will be evacuated no later than 30 days from the notification date. 

 

The company will pay the compensation within two years from the approval date to start the expropriation procedures.

 

Concerned persons may file a complaint with the Board of Grievances against the committees’ decisions within 60 days from notification date.
