Saudi bank loans granted to the public and private sectors increased 15% year-on-year (YoY) by the end of September 2020 to SAR 1.789 trillion, from SAR 1.554 trillion a year earlier, according to data issued by the Saudi Arabian Monetary Authority (SAMA).
Private sector lending also rose 15% YoY to SAR 1.724 trillion for the same month from SAR 1.499 trillion a year earlier.
Meanwhile, the value of loans given to the non-financial governmental institutions levelled up 18% YoY to SAR 65.9 billion by the end of September when compared to the same period last year.
