KEIR International is committed to hand-over its electrical project with Saudi Electricity Company (SEC) for the Riyadh Metro Project before the latter’s official start of operations, following completion of the contract between KEIR International and SEC to build and provide a 33 kV medium voltage underground electric service linking Riyadh Metro stations (M11-M12-M13).
KEIR International has, during the contract period, powered up Riyadh Metro stations (M13 & M12) with a total distance of 40 km in Riyadh neighborhoods (Industrial City - Al-Safa - Al-Farouq - Al-Oud - Ghobeira - Manfuha) by operating 6 electrical circuits of 33 kV. With cable lengths of 100 kilometers, work is underway to complete connecting the last station (M11) and to activate 4 circuits with a distance of 27 kilometers and to extend cables of 60 kilometers length before the start of the Riyadh Metro operations. The total value of the project is approximately SAR 137 million.
The Riyadh Metro Project is only one of several projects that KEIR International has completed or is completing for SEC as KEIR International has successfully participated in the implementation of the Unified Contract Project for power distribution networks since 2014 until now. The project includes civil works and electrical works for low and medium voltage network lines, ground and overhead lines up to 36 kV, installation of box meters for subscribers, and maintenance, emergency and repair works. The project contract is renewed every 5 years, noting that service has been delivered to more than 1,900 subscribers during the contract period for a value of more than SAR 29 million.
For a contract valued at over SAR 19 million with SEC’s National Grid Saudi Arabia, KEIR International is currently implementing a project to connect substations (8216-8095), feed these to the main transmission station 8278 and connect power by deployment of 26 kilometers of fiber-optic cables in Al-Malqa district in Riyadh. The scope of work includes side survey, design and implementation of civil works, horizontal drilling works, electrical works, and telecommunications works.
In addition to these projects, KEIR International is also implementing for a private company a project which includes OSP works, electrical works for low and medium voltage, and installation of cabins and transformers of SEC related to the installation of electrical meters for residences. The total value of the project is more than SAR 22 million.
Aside from KEIR International's solid experiences in implementing fiber optic projects, KEIR International is also a preferred contractor for both outdoor and indoor network solutions and a distinguished contractor for both the governmental/public and private sectors in implementing electricity projects and smart and safe city projects, as well as in supplying SIM Cards, fiber optic cables and fiber optic network distribution materials.
