The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) and the Local Content and Government Procurement Authority (LCGPA) launched an initiative to create incentives for listing agricultural firms, Al Yaum newspaper reported, citing Tadawul CEO Khalid Alhussan.

This comes as a result of the concerted efforts by governmental and legal entities to provide the appropriate catalyst for the agriculture sector, Alhussan said, adding that Tadawul is looking to be one of the means for agricultural companies to achieve its goals.

He pointed out that Tadawul worked towards finding additional channels for medium and small companies, and an effective and inexpensive way to reach investors through Nomu.

The market is working to monitor these channels to improve them, Alhussan affirmed.

This came during a session organized by Qassim Chamber of Commerce and Industry in cooperation with Tadawul and the Agricultural Development Fund (ADF) on the importance of offering and listing for the agricultural sector.
