Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources Bandar Alkhorayef launched today a new service to view mining license records and reserves areas on Taadin (mining) platform, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.

The service will include all electronic applications for licenses, in addition to the record that includes all licenses issued through the platform and the related procedures.

The minerals’ record that shows mining complexes and reserve areas will be also included in this service.

The service aims to prepare for the activation of the new mining investment law approved by the Saudi Cabinet recently, which will come into effect in Janurary 2021.

The ministry has recently worked with the relevant authorities, in cooperation with a number of expert houses specialized in mining, diligently to develop the new mining investment law, which is now compatible with the best international practices in this field, Deputy Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources for Mining Affairs, Khalid Al Mudaifer, said.

He further added that the ministry aims to complete Taadin development, which will be the express channel for receiving and processing all requests.

Upon completion of the related regulations, requirements, and forms, licensing and business requirements will be clarified and new investor inapplications will be received, Al Mudaifer affirmed.
