Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Energy, Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman Al Saud, said that the energy system is now possible, comprehensive and enhanced with the cooperation of other authorities.
He added, during his speech on the occasion of the 90th Saudi National Day, that the ministry is depending on various energy sources to achieve the goals of Vision 2030.
The energy ministry has several programs and solutions, including the "Energy Mix" program for electricity. By 2030, electricity production will depend on 50% of renewable energy, while the remainder will depend on gas, to address environmental issues and sustainability.
"As a minister, I seek the assistance of all the Kingdom's capabilities in implementing the ministry's programs,” Prince Abdulaziz said. “I have some parties to monitor, direct and enhance my capabilities in implementing these programs through which the sector will enable the diversification of the national economy."
