South Korea’s Daelim Industrial Co Ltd said it expects to complete the construction of the third ammonia production plant for Saudi Arabian Mining Co. (Maaden), in Ras Al-Khair, by the second half of 2021, according to Yonhap News Agency.
Daelim said it has completed 61% of the construction.
The firm had recently installed a carbon dioxide removal facility at the ammonia production plant. The facility took 14 months to manufacture.
In 2018, Maaden awarded Daelim Industrial and Daelim Saudi Arabia Company Ltd (Daelim Saudi Arabia) a SAR 3.35 billion contract to construct a 1.1 million tons per annum ammonia plant at Ras Al-Khair, according to data compiled by Argaam.
