Saudi Minister of Investment, Khalid Al-Falih, said that the resilience shown by the Saudi economy during H1 2020 affirms the strength of the Kingdom’s investment environment and its safety for the investor, despite the exceptional conditions that the world went through this year.

This year has seen unprecedented challenges, and the coronavirus will determine the path of the global economy within the upcoming period, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) cited the minister as saying.

Al-Falih also praised the Kingdom's rapid and decisive response to the global pandemic, noting that it helped support investors and contributed to supporting business continuity during these difficult times.

He added that the positive economic data for June 2020 provides confidence in the ability of the Saudi economy to recover from the effects of COVID-19, in addition to starting the recovery of foreign investments to continue the momentum achieved in the past years.

The Kingdom is undergoing a fundamental economic transformation and enjoys promising investment opportunities and a strong economy, the minister said, emphasizing that he looks forward to welcoming more investors and sharing the available investment opportunities as normal conditions return.
