Saudi Arabia starts localizing wholesale and retail outlets by 70% in nine economic activities as of today, Aug. 20, 2020.
The activities include selling tea and coffee, water and drinks, vegetables and dates, books, toys, dairy products, grains and seeds.
In March, Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Human Resources and Social Development, Ahmed bin Suleiman Al-Rajhi, issued a ministerial decree to localize wholesale and retail outlets by 70% in nine economic activities.
The ministry further noted that the move aimed at raising the level of citizen participation in the labor market, in addition to creating more job vacancies across the Kingdom.
