National Water Co. (NWC) announced completing 26 vital projects for water and wastewater services in Makkah region during the first half of 2020, at a total cost of nearly SAR 1.2 billion.
The company said in a statement that the projects were delivered in record time, 2 months before the contractual period, in addition to achieving a total financial savings of an estimated SAR 26 million on these projects.
NWC Western sector head, Mohammed Al-Ghamdi, said that the sector has implemented over 10,000 connections to sewage and water networks to serve more than 6,000 properties with household water connections which will benefit over 304,000 people.
The move is part of the company's approved plan to develop services and increase coverage rates for beneficiaries.
