Industry minister says increased customs fees aim to boost local industries

Saudi Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources, Bandar Alkhorayef said that increased customs duties aims to boost domestic industries and better position local products to compete with exports.

 

This decision was taken before the COVID-19 outbreak, he stressed in an interview with Al Arabiya Channel.

 

Saudi Arabia starts, today June 10, raising custom duties of some commodities, according to data compiled by Argaam.
