Electrical Industries temporarily closes 2 factories in Dammam Industrial City II

Electrical Industries Co. (EIC) announced on Thursday the temporary shutdown of 2 factories in Dammam Industrial City II.

 

The step is in line with the government’s precautionary measures to isolate the Industrial City II in Dammam and prevent entries or exits, as part of the efforts to control the spread of coronavirus.

 

The company said in a statement on Tadawul that the 2 factories are Saudi Power Transformers Company and Cable Trays Factory, adding that its operations will be affected by this temporary lockdown.

 

It is presently difficult to assess the financial impact of the precautionary measures, EIC said, noting that any further developments will be announced in due course.
