Saudi bank loans rise 9% in February 2020

Saudi bank loans granted to the public and private sectors increased 9% year-on-year (YoY) by the end of February 2020 to SAR 1.649 trillion compared to SAR 1.510 trillion a year earlier, data issued by the Saudi Arabian Monetary Authority (SAMA) showed.

 

Private sector lending also rose 10% YoY to SAR 1.593 trillion for the same month.

Meanwhile, the value of loans given to the public sector edged up 0.1% YoY to SAR 57.2 billion by the end of February.
