Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Interior revised its earlier curfew timings in Jeddah, now starting from 3pm instead of 7pm, effective from today, March 29, according to its statement on Twitter.
Accordingly, residents are banned from entering or exiting the governorate until further notice.
The decision falls in line with the Kingdom’s efforts to control the spread of coronavirus.
However, curfew exemptions still apply to those in vital public and private sectors, and those who work in the healthcare sector, the statement added.
Abiding by these measures will enable Saudi Arabia and its healthcare authorities to provide the best medical services to contain the spread of coronavirus, it further noted.
