Leejam Sports closes all fitness centers as of today

Leejam Sports Co. (Fitness Time) will close its fitness centers in Saudi Arabia as of today, March 15 until further notice, the company said in a bourse filing.

 

The company is currently evaluating the financial impact of this closure and will disclose any further developments in due course.

 

The move came in response to the Saudi Ministry of Sports’ decision on suspending sports events and activities indefinitely throughout the Kingdom to prevent the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19).

 

Leejam will continue to raise sports and health awareness and encourage exercising from home, the statement added.
