Saudi Arabia temporarily suspended travel of citizens and residents to and from 9 coronavirus affected countries, according to a source at the Interior Ministry.
These countries include the UAE, Kuwait, Bahrain, Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, Egypt, Italy, and South Korea.
The Kingdom also suspended the entry of those countries’ residents or visitors during the past 14 days.
Saudi Arabia also decided to impose temporary lockdown on flights and vessels with the aforementioned countries, with the exception of evacuation, shipping and trade trips.
The source added that the ministries of interior and health are closely coordinating to deal with humanitarian and exceptional cases.
