The Saudi Entertainment Ventures Company (SEVEN), a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Public Investment Fund (PIF), announced the expansion of new entertainment complexes to major locations across the Kingdom.

Each complex will feature several entertainment and leisure choices including cinemas, play areas, rides, food and beverages (F&B), attractions and more, SEVEN said in a statement today.

The announcement was made at the second Future Projects Forum 2020, organized by the Saudi Contractors Authority (SCA) to showcase the future projects in the Kingdom.

Abdullah Al Dawood, Chairman of SEVEN, said the company is building the entertainment ecosystem of the Kingdom, having already opened the first cinema in Saudi Arabia in 35 years.

“We have a clearly structured development plan to build 20 entertainment destinations, 50 cinemas and 2 large theme parks in prime locations across the Kingdom,” Al Dawood said.

In the cities of Jeddah, Taif, Makkah and Madinah, SEVEN will develop several entertainment complexes adding to the leisure choices for residents and visitors. In addition to it, the company also announced plans to develop large entertainment projects in Yanbu, Buraydah, Abha, Khamis, Jazan and Tabuk.

“At SEVEN, we are inviting creative business partners and vendors to join us in our step forward to shape the entertainment landscape of the Kingdom,” Al Dawood added.

Announced last year, SEVEN also noted that work is progressing as per schedule on its 2 entertainment complexes at Al Hamra and Al Nahda in Riyadh.
