Energy ministry launches oil demand sustainability program

Energy Minister Prince Abdul Aziz bin Salman announced the launch of oil demand sustainability program that seeks to increase economic and environmental efficiency of oil and gas, the ministry said in statement on Tuesday.

 

The program, which was launched during SABIC 2020 Conference in Jubail Industrial City, will increase oil demand. It is also environmental-friendly and focuses on innovation.

 

A total of 17 government and non-government entities will be part of the program, the statement noted, adding that 52 entities were involved in the study and research process.

 

Moreover, the program aims to produce polymeric materials among others.
