Saudi Chemical Holding Co.’s board of directors approved on Jan. 30 appointing Thamer Al-Muhid as the company’s new chief executive officer, effective from Feb. 2, the company said in a bourse filing.
Al-Muhid will replace Mohammed Bin Saud Al-Badr, who will maintain his position as the company’s managing director.
Al-Muhid has 26 years of experience in various fields. Since March 2018, he has served as SCC’s deputy general manager of the explosives business. He was also the managing director and general manager of Egypt-based Suez International Nitrate Co. (SINCO).
Al-Muhid served as the general manager of Almarai’s food business unit and the general manager of industrial planning, policies and research at the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, the statement added.
