The National Shipping Company of Saudi Arabia (Bahri) received, on Jan. 19, an approval letter from the Ministry of Interior to extend the contract for transportation and shipping services for 1 year.
The company said in a statement to Tadawul that the new contract will expire on Feb. 17, 2021, adding that the financial impact of the deal will commence from the beginning of the extension period till the end.
According to data compiled by Argaam, the company signed a 5-year contract for SAR 400 million with the interior ministry in February 2015, to provide transportation and shipping services.
According to the contract, Bahri acted as the official transportation partner of the interior ministry, providing different types of transportation and shipment locally and abroad, including land, air and maritime.
