Mobile Telecommunications Company Saudi Arabia (Zain Saudi) received positive responses from the 5G users and customers, CEO Sultan Al Deghaither told CNBC Arabia, expecting a positive return from the new investments.

On the sidelines of celebrating the first phase of its 5G rollout program, Al Deghaither said that the company plans to invest in building 5G networks over the coming five years.

The CEO noted that the first phase currently covers 27 cities across the Kingdom, and the second phase will cover more cities through network expansion.

“There is no limit to our ambition. Zain Saudi will provide the best services to its customers and maintain the same quality,” Al Deghaither stressed.

In October, the Saudi telecom service provider launched the first phase of 5G, the largest in the region, to cover 27 cities through 2,600 telecommunication towers.

The new tech will also contribute to the Kingdom's economic growth as it comes in line with the Saudi Vision 2030.
