Dubai-based Emirates signed a purchase agreement with Boeing for 30 787 Dreamliners, valued at $8.8 billion, it said in a statement on Wednesday.
The agreement replaces a deal for the B777x aircraft.
“Our Boeing fleet is key to our business model to serve international demand for travel to and through our Dubai hub,” said Emirates CEO and Chairman Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum.
On Monday, the airline announced a $16 billion deal to buy 50 Airbus 350s at the Dubai Airshow.
