Nama Ventures participates in Web Summit 2019

Nama Ventures participated in the Invest In Saudi delegation at the 2019 Web Summit, one of the biggest tech conferences in the world.

 

Led by managing partner at Nama Ventures, Mohammed Alzubi, the delegation is a sample of Saudi ecosystem players and the firm was selected as an example of a foreign fund investing in the Kingdom.

 

“We are delighted is year to be part of the Invest In Saudi delegation and get to showcase our commitment in both time and capital in investing in the local entrepreneurial ecosystem,” Alzubi said.

 

“We believe Saudi needs ten Namas and hopefully with all the incentives available for foreign investors and the new dynamic laws that allow for startups to set up in a record time, we believe KSA is the new MENA tech frontier,” he added.

 

“It's great to have Nama Ventures with us. It is the first foreign venture capital (VC) fund to set up a fund dedicated to Saudi Arabia. Having Nama with us allows other VCs to hear first-hand experience from someone who has done it,” Dr. Mazn Alzaydi, Director of entrepreneurship at Saudi Arabian General Investment Authority (SAGIA).
