Saudi bank loans to public, private sectors hit SAR 1.54 trln in August

Saudi bank loans granted to the public and private sectors rose 3 percent by August-end to SAR 1.54 trillion compared to SAR 1.51 trillion a year earlier, data issued by the Saudi Arabian Monetary Authority (SAMA) showed.

 

Private sector lending also edged up 2 percent year-on-year (YoY) to SAR 1.487 trillion for the same month.

 

Meanwhile, the value of loans given to the public sector increased 6 percent YoY to SAR 57.2 billion in August.
