SABIC highlights innovation, value opportunities for Saudi fertilizer industry

Innovation and downstream integration can drive sustained growth for the fertilizers industry in Saudi Arabia, Samir Al-Abdrabbuh, Executive Vice President, Agri-nutrients at SABIC said in his address at the 10th Gulf Petrochemical and Chemical Association (GPCA) Fertilizer Convention in Muscat, Oman.

 

“Our industry must look at dynamic ways to not only improve our products, but to capitalize on downstream integration and innovation as the primary catalysts for growth and value creation,” Al-Abdrabbuh said.

 

He noted that Saudi Basic Industries Corp (SABIC) and other industry leaders are moving away from being solely product suppliers.

 

“We are working closer with end users to provide new training and advance digitization and precision farming products that generate more effective solutions that reduce costs for farmers,” Al-Abdrabbuh added.
