In this report, Argaam monitors the movement of Tadawul-listed stock prices during the auction period and trade at last that follow the regular trading time. The auction period lasted 20 minutes between 3:00 pm and 3:20 pm, while the trade-at-last session started from 3:20 pm to 3:40 pm.
The fourth phase of Saudi Arabia's inclusion in FTSE Russell Emerging Market Index, with an inclusion factor of 25 percent, and the second and final tranche of Tadawul’s upgrade to the emerging markets on S&P DJI started today.
The index climbed 52 points during the closing auction and trade at last session, with a value traded of SAR 4.9 billion, increasing its daily gains to 106 points.
A total of 12,585 transactions were executed on nearly 136.29 million shares.
During the 20-minute auction period, investors can place buy and sell orders based on which the system calculates a fair price per stock, and this fair price serves as a reference price for the following trading day.
In trade at last session, market participants can place orders only at the closing price set during the closing auction.
