Attacks on the plants of Saudi Aramco have posed a “real test” of the international will to confront subversive acts that threaten international stability and security, the Saudi Press Agency reported, citing Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.
Prince Mohammed’s remarks were made in a telephone call with South Korean President Moon Jae-in, who called on the international community to take a firm stand and resolute action towards such assaults.
President Moon Jae-in denounced the drone attacks on Saudi Aramco’s facilities, adding that such attacks not only affect Saudi Arabia but the world, global economy and energy supplies.
Terrorist attacks on Saudi Aramco’s facilities in Abqaiq and Khurais on Saturday had led to a temporary production halt.
Nevertheless, Energy Minister Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman said Tuesday that Saudi Arabia’s oil supplies have returned to their levels prior to the terrorist attacks.
