Alinma Tokio Marine Co. has received an insurance claim request from Al Jomaih Automotive Co. related to an accident leading to its ship capsizing in the port of Brunswick, Georgia, USA.
The ship is covered by a maritime insurance policy with a total amount of SAR 180.4 million, the insurer said in a bourse statement.
Losses from this accident have been reinsured with other reinsurers, while Alinma Tokio’s maximum liability towards this accident is SAR 1 million, the statement added.
The company has appointed London-based WK Webster & Co. Ltd. to assess the damage caused by the accident.
The financial impact resulting from the accident will be reflected on financial statements for the fiscal year 2019, the statement said.
