Saudi Arabia declares National Day holiday for private sector

The Ministry of Labor and Social Development has announced Sept. 23, 2019, to be marked as a holiday for private sector to celebrate the Saudi National Day.

 

According to data compiled by Argaam, the Ministry announced a four-day holiday, starting from the end of working hours on Sept. 19, and work to resume on Sept. 24.

 

The National Day is celebrated to commemorate the renaming of the Kingdom of Nejd and Hejaz to Saudi Arabia by a royal decree from King Abdul Aziz Ibn Saud in 1932.
