US drillers cut 6 oil rigs in week ending Aug. 9: Baker Hughes

U.S. energy companies cut six oil rigs in the week ending Aug. 9, bringing the total count to 764, General Electric Co.’s Baker Hughes energy services firm said in its closely followed report on Friday.

 

The gas rig count declined by two rigs to 169 rigs for the week, compared to 186 gas rigs a year earlier.
