Riyadh Airports Co. has finalized the first phase of a number of development projects in King Khalid International Airport (KKIA) terminals I & II, Saudi Press Agency reported, citing a company statement.
These projects came within the KKIA development package, comprising 22 of them.
As construction works began in 2018, they aimed at boosting quality and efficiency, in addition to expanding the airport capacity in-line with the increasing passengers' traffic over the coming years.
The company also increased Terminal II capacity to accommodate 486 seats and boosted the terminals’ baggage handling by 300 percent.
