8 things to watch on Tadawul today

Here are a few things you need to know as Saudi stocks start trading on Sunday.

 

1) Middle East Paper Co. (MEPCO) reported a net profit after zakat and tax of around SAR 1.8 million for the first half of 2019, plunging 97 percent YoY from SAR 57 million a year earlier.

 

2) Al-Babtain Power and Telecommunication Co.’s net profit after zakat and tax edged up 2 percent year-on-year (YoY) to SAR 40.7 million for H1 2019 on higher other income.

 

3) Umm Al Qura Cement Co.’s board of directors has recommended a 2.5 percent cash dividend for the first half of 2019, at SAR 0.25 per share, amounting to SAR 13.8 million.

 

4) Arab National Bank (ANB) posted a net profit of SAR 1.67 billion for H1 2019, a rise of 18.5 percent year-on-year (YoY) on higher total operating income.

 

5) Al Jouf Agricultural Development Co. will pay cash dividend for the first half of 2019 on Aug. 20, 2019.

 

6) Bank Aljazira will pay a 3 percent cash dividend for the first half of 2019, at SAR 0.3 per unit, amounting to SAR 246 million, on August 26.

 

7) Saudi Arabian Amiantit Co.’s net losses after zakat and tax more than tripled in the first half of 2019 to SAR 303.4 million versus a net loss of SAR 94.4 million a year earlier.

 

8) Brent crude on Friday gained $1.39 to reach $61.89/bbl, while WTI crude increased $1.71 to reach $55.66/bbl.
