Point-of-sale (PoS) transactions in Saudi Arabia grew 7% in June 2019 to SAR 20.73 billion compared to SAR 19.3 billion in June 2018, according to Saudi Arabian Monetary Authority (SAMA).
Data showed that a total of 113.8 million transactions were processed through nearly 388,000 points-of-sales in shopping malls, retail stores and pharmacies.

Meanwhile, cash withdrawals through ATMs declined 12% in June to SAR 54.4 billion compared to SAR 61.94 billion during the same period 2017.
The cash withdrawals were made through 160.1 million transactions using the 18,800 ATMs in Saudi Arabia.
