Qiddiya project to be linked to Riyadh Metro: CEO

Saudi Arabia aims to connect Qiddiya project to the Riyadh Metro, Al-Eqtisadiah newspaper reported, citing Michael Reininger, Chief Executive Officer of Qiddiya Investment Co. (QIC).

 

"Work is underway to design a direct metro line linked to the main gate of the city hub," Reininger said, without disclosing the expected date of completion.

 

He stated that around 50 companies are currently working on Qiddiya project, including design and consultancy firms. 

 

He added that some construction contracts were awarded and more road-related contracts will be available between August and early 2020. 

 

In April 2018, King Salman inaugurated Qiddiya entertainment, sports and cultural project in Riyadh, Argaam reported.

 

The first video of Qiddiya Project’s master plan and final maquette was released yesterday.
