Fees of 24h activities will vary between businesses, governorates

The Saudi Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs is still working on determining the fees for the 24 hours commercial activity licenses as directed by the cabinet, so that the value is not uniform for all establishments, areas and governorates, it said in a tweet today.

When determining the fees, the ministry will be taking into consideration the nature of the business and its location based on clear standards.

It added that the healthcare facilities, shelter centers and gas stations located on highways will mainly be exempted from the ministry fees.

It also stressed its keenness to facilitate business-related requirements of the private sector in order to empower commercial businesses.

Saudi Arabia’s cabinet approved earlier this month allowing commercial businesses and shops to open 24 hours in return of a charge to be determined by the minister of municipal and rural affairs, not to exceed SAR 100,000 per year
