Princess Reema bint Bandar bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz Al Saud presented her credentials as Saudi ambassador to US President Donald Trump at White House on Monday.
"HRH Ambassador Princess Reema met with US President Donald Trump at the White House to present her credentials as the new Ambassador of SaudiArabia to the United States," the Saudi Embassy in Washington said in a tweet.

The new ambassador also announced her meeting with the US president in a tweet.
“Presented credentials at the White House. Conveyed the well wishes of Kingdom’s Leadership. Looking forward to working on strengthening and solidifying the historic Saudi - US partnership,” she said.

In a statement to the Saudi Press Agency, Princess Reema described Saudi-American relations as historic and strategic based on close cooperation and common interests, affirming her keenness to exert all efforts to enhance cooperation between the two allied countries in all fields.
Princess Reema assumed her new office on July 4, replacing Prince Khaled bin Salman, who is now the Kingdom’s deputy defense minister. She is the 11th ambassador to the US since 1945 and the first Saudi woman to hold this post.
