Aecom has been awarded a multi-year contract to provide project management consultancy (PMC) services for Phase 1 as part of NEOM Bay, the infrastructure services firm said in a statement today.
One of Saudi Arabia’s most ambitious mega-projects, NEOM Bay is being developed in the north-western part within the 25,000 square kilometers NEOM Zone.
Under the contract, Aecom will provide a full suite of services to support the delivery of Phase 1 as part of NEOM Bay, a 45-square kilometer area located within NEOM Bay.
Aecom’s scope includes project management, contract administration, technical and environmental support services, and site supervision over the entire design and construction phases of the project.
“We have already begun to mobilize local and global resources to bring the best of Aecom’s project management capability to this transformational project,” Hamed Zaghw, Chief Executive, Aecom Middle East & Africa, said.
“We look forward to building a long-term relationship with the Public Investment Fund (PIF) that delivers ambitious projects across Saudi Arabia and enables the achievement of Vision 2030,” he added.
When complete, NEOM Bay Phase 1 will comprise several thousand residential units, leisure, retail, commercial, public and entertainment facilities with supporting infrastructure and utilities.
