Saudi Arabia's King Salman on Tuesday inaugurated 242 development projects worth SAR 10 billion in Al-Jouf province, the state-run Saudi Press Agency reported.
A total of 21 projects will be implemented by the Ministry of Health, 77 by the Ministry of Municipality, 15 by the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture, in addition to other investments in the energy, industrial and mining sectors.
Other 11 developments are owned by the Ministry of Housing, 82 by the Ministry of Education and 22 by the Ministry of Transport, the report added.
Al-Jouf projects also included the first phase of King Salman Renewable Energy Initiative, Dumat Al Jandal wind plant and Saudi Railway Company’s (SAR) investments.
The Saudi ruler had earlier launched development projects worth more than SAR 16 billion in Qassim and SAR 12 billion in Tabuk. He also unveiled 259 new development projects totaling over SAR 7 billion in Hail.
