Al-Rajhi, Saudi Arabia's second-largest listed bank, has appointed Stefano Bertamini as the new chief executive officer, replacing Sulaiman Bin Abdulaziz al-Zabin, who resigned from his position, sources close to the company told Argaam.

His appointment will be effective May 18, according  to a statement later issued by the bank.

Bertamini previously held the position of group executive director and chief executive officer of consumer banking at Standard Chartered Bank PLC and India.
