Mouwasat: A technical failure in the radiology department activates the fire system in Dammam Hospital

Mouwasat Medical Services Company said that a technical failure in the radiology department in the medical tower at Dammam hospital caused the activation of the automatic fire fighting system yesterday morning. The company added that the fire system works by dry gas which is clean and safe for both environment and humans.

The tower was evacuated immediately according to the approved evacuation plan for patients and staff safety.

The technical failure was totally controlled and the tower re-operated normally by the evening without any injuries or significant losses; the company said in its filing to Tadawul today.

Minor losses will be assessed for an insurance claim and the event is not to affect the operations negatively; the company added.
