Etihad Atheeb Telecommunication Co.’s (GO) lawsuit number (9083) to appeal against the Communications and Information Technology Commission (CITC) has been rejected by the court, the telecom company said in a statement to Tadawul.

The court has also affirmed a previous ruling issued on Jan. 14, 2019.

The financial impact of the ruling can’t be assessed at the current time, the statement added.

In a separate statement, the company said that during the hearing of case number (9797), CITC has requested more time to respond to the company’s memorandum to the court.

The case was postponed by the court until July 31, 2019.

GO filed a lawsuit in August 2018, seeking to reverse the CITC’s decision in May to reject the telco’s request for a unified license. The license allows operators to offer integrated telecom services including landline.
