Saudi Ceramic net profit surges to SAR 70.7 mln in Q1 2021

Saudi Ceramic Co. posted a net profit after Zakat and tax of SAR 70.7 million for the first quarter of 2021, compared to a net profit of SAR 10.6 million in prior-year period.

 

The improvement was attributed to higher revenue. Moreover, the ceramic producer reported improvement in profit margins, due to a decrease in cost of sales. Lower finance cost also bolstered the quarterly figures, due to the repayment of a substantial part of the loans.

Shareholders’ equity, excluding minority interest, increased by 10.13% to SAR 1.563 billion by the end of Q1 2021, compared to SAR 1.419 billion in the year-ago period.
