Saudi announces instant e-visa for Jeddah festival

Saudi Arabia will issue instant e-tourism visa for visitors to the ongoing 40-day “Jeddah Season” festival, according to a local media report.

The visa will be issued within three minutes with the condition that the visa applicant buys a ticket for any one of the events of the festival, Saudi Gazette reported.

The applicant can obtain tourist visa immediately and within three minutes, by signing in on the portal www.sharek.com.sa after completing some minor procedures through following simple instructions, the daily reported, citing Raed Abu Zinada, general supervisor of the Jeddah Season festival.

The initiative will contribute significantly to revitalizing the national tourism sector in general and will support the Jeddah Season festival in particular, he added.

The Jeddah Season festival will run from June 8 until July 18.
