Home ownership rates in Saudi Arabia and the US nearly the same

Saudi Arabia's home ownership rate stood at 59.9 percent for all age groups, compared to 63.7 percent in the United States, data from the Ministry of Housing showed.

 

The lowest rate in the Kingdom was recorded at 40 percent among residents between 15 and 34 years old. The US reported the lowest rate also in the same age group at 35.6 percent.

 

A total of 50.1 percent of homeowners in Saudi Arabia were between 35 and 44 years old, compared to 59.3 percent in the US.

 

The study was based on comparing data with the US, given the high rate of home ownership in the country.
