UAE's Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) on Thursday awarded contracts worth $1.6 billion (AED 5.88 billion) to China National Petroleum Company's subsidiary BGP Inc. to conduct the world’s largest 3D onshore and offshore seismic survey, Reuters reported, citing a company statement.

 

The survey will cover an area up to 53,000 square kilometers.

 

"The company continues to identify and unlock new opportunities and maximize value from its hydrocarbon resources and deliver on its 2030 smart growth strategy," ADNOC said.
