Saudi Electricity Co. (SEC), the state-run utility provider, launched on Thursday a new indicator to measure household electricity consumption, in line with the new tariffs effective by January 1.

Subscribers can see the new cost by moving the online indicator on the company’s website.

Saudi Arabia’s Electricity and Cogeneration Regulatory Authority (ECRA) had earlier said the new electricity tariffs come as part of the Kingdom's plans to phase out energy subsidies, Argaam reported.
