Prince Mohammed discusses potential cooperation with Lockheed Martin, Bill Gates

Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman discussed on Tuesday with Marleen Huston, chairman and chief executive of US-based Lockheed Martin, potential military partnerships between the two countries, official Saudi Press Agency reported.

They also held talks on enhancing cooperation between the Kingdom and the United States, in line with the Kingdom’s ambitious Vision 2030 plan.

The newly established Saudi Arabian Military Industries (SAMI) had earlier signed memorandums of understanding with a number of companies in the US military industrial sector.

Deals included assembling 150 Lockheed Martin Blackhawk helicopters in Saudi Arabia.

Meanwhile, Prince Salman also led talks with co-chair of Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, William Gates and explored aspects of cooperation in various fields.

A number of joint bilateral development programs and projects were also discussed.

The meeting also addressed opportunities available in the Kingdom as part of its reform plan, especially potential investments in NEOM, The Red Sea and Al-Ula projects.
