A real estate conglomerate won an auction held by Saudi Arabia’s justice ministry of plots of land spread over a total area of 50,000 square meters in Makkah central area, Alriyadh newspaper reported Monday, citing Abdul Salam Qadi, the ministry’s sales agent.

The report didn’t name the conglomerate and did not mention a value for the deal.

Earlier this month, the Saudi ministry had announced an auction to sell 50,000 square meters of land at an estimated value of over SAR 1 billion.
